Okay…I am so psyched to be writing this blog and to be sharing one of my favorite mini sessions to date with you! As I have said previously, my number one goal is to capture your child’s personality. Their smiles, their frowns, their scruncy nose and itty bitty toes! ultimately I want you to be able to look back at the photos and remember the sound of their giggles, and all of the little details that are so easily forgotten as they get older!
I have been asked a few times how I get my 3 year old to cooperate during photos. I KEEP IT SIMPLE! When I am itching to do some milestone photos of my daughter I let her pick her favorite outfit, ::even if that is a dress up outfit:: I put on some of her favorite music, and tell her to dance! If she is having fun, I know I am going to capture genuine smiles, real laughter, I am going to capture HER! Sometimes I have her grab her favorite toy and come sit and play – it’s simple yet captures the moments we all want to remember!
The pictures I end up loving the most are the ones that I keep simple, the ones where the child is the star of the session! No busy backdrops, no props – just that sweet little munchkin.
Here is why I am excited! I will be offering WONDERFULLY ME mini sessions! The mini sessions will be in studio and 30 minutes long. This is a new play on ‘personality portraits’, I will have your child’s favorite music on in studio and we will be having fun! I will be urging parents to bring your child’s favorite toy, blanket or stuffed animal as well!
