HERMITAGE, TENNESSEE CHILDREN’S PHOTOGRAPHER | BACK TO SCHOOL

It’s that time of year again. Kiddos are bummed school is starting while some parents are holding back tears as their little ones head off to school for the first time.

Of course there are parents like me who were very excited for school to start again! Don’t get me wrong i love my tiny humans but when you work from home things get pretty wild with a 7 & 4 year old at home most of the time.

How do you prepare when going back to school? This year was the first year i was shopping for 2 kids, with 2 different school supply lists. I will not pretend it was easy – it was without a doubt the most hectic thing i have ever done. Both of my daughters tossing random things into the cart, my oldest not wanting my youngest to have ANYTHING the same as hers. Despite the fact that they do not even attend the same school.

The school year is TONS easier to prep for when school uniforms are involved! I do love twirly whirly dresses for my daughters, but i have come to realize that school uniforms make getting ready for school MUCH easier. No question on what to wear, or if they “like” what they are wearing. Thankfully both of my daughters are fine with their school uniforms, although my oldest does like to make picking between a blue polo & a red polo shirt a “thing”.

My favorite part of going back to school is taking back to school photos of my daughters! its knowing i will have these memories foever that makes my heart full!
